Pavlina Pavlina Pavlina

Pavlina has been the top search on technorati since yesterday. Who and what is Pavlina? I did a little research and this is what I discovered:

Pavlina Radoslavova is a Russian-trained concert pianist, and one of Bulgaria's most talented classical performers.

Starting the piano at the age of five, she quickly became noticed for her skills; winning several national and international piano competitions and the competitive entrance examinations that gave her access to Bulgaria's most talented piano professors.

By the age of nineteen, Radoslavova had entered into Bulgaria's most prestigious musical institution - the Bulgarian National Academy of Music; ranking in the top-three performers from over eighty five candidates.

Pavlina completed her first music degree under the famous Russian piano professors Julia and Konstantin Ganevi; passing with distinction.

Following her graduation, she went on to study for her Masters Degree in Music in the piano classes of the Russian piano professor Marina Kapazinska, which she also passed with distinction. She took a further specialisation in chamber music under professor Angel Stankov, then concertmaster of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.

Radoslavova won a position in the staff of the Bulgarian National Academy of Music in 1988 where she worked in the Operatic-, Symphonic- and Choral-Conducting department. She became head pianist in 1998 and remained at the academy until she relocated to England in September 2002.

To date, Pavlina has given solo performances, concerts and professional master-classes in over 14 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia
