Fabio Capello Real Madrid's New Coach
Fabio Capello is to become Real Madrid CF's new coach, with the Spanish club announcing his arrival within 24 hours of the Italian's departure from the Juventus helm.
The 60-year-old Capello will be unveiled at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday, as he returns to the post that he held during Madrid's title-winning campaign of 1996/97. He then went back to coach AC Milan before successful spells in charge of AS Roma and, for the last two seasons, Juventus. The Turin club, whose future is uncertain given their involvement in an Italian tribunal into match-fixing allegations, had said on Tuesday: "Juventus have accepted the resignation of Fabio Capello and thank him for the work he has done." Capello's team were never lower than first in Serie A during his Delle Alpi tenure.
